School-Based Health Center

Jefferson Parish Schools offers Behavioral Health services to students of Chateau Estates through our school-based health center program.Chateau Estates School Based Health Center is one of 11 school based health centers in the Jefferson Parish School District. At present, we do not have on-site medical services at Chateau SBHC.  Students registered at these locations will be able to access medical services at one of the locations of our partner Access Health Louisiana if needed.

Gaye Dupre, a Licensed Professional Counselor, offers individual and group therapy counseling sessions for social skills, anxiety, anger management and emotional regulation as well as trauma, grief and sadness. After Hours Telehealth counseling is also available this year.  Ms. Dupre’s office is located in the office next to the library.

• Parents can enroll their child for Behavioral Health services by filling out a School Based Health Center consent enrollment form, calling the front office of Chateau Estates School at (504) 464-5662 or by calling the school based health center’s office at (504) 303-7018. All students must have a current consent and enrollment form on file to receive services at Chateau Estates School for Behavioral Health services. Parents may sign their child up at any time during the school year. Electronic consent forms can be found below on this webpage through the QR Codes or links. This is best completed on a laptop or desktop.  Printable consents can also be found below and can be emailed or returned to Ms. Dupre through the school offices
• Co-payments are waived for all students enrolled at our School Based Health Centers. Commercial insurances including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. Students who are uninsured may also receive care with a consent and enrollment form on file at the health center. Services are delivered to all students at NO OUT OF POCKET COST.
• If you have an emergency outside of school hours, please call 9-1-1.
